Mean daily temperature (above left), and mean wind speed (above right) observed at PWAK for the year 1990.   The coldest and warmest months are February, and July, respectively.  The calmest days tend to occur during the summer months, while the windiest days fall within the late autumn-winter months.   Note that even the calmest days on Wake Island still experience wind speeds of about 3 m/s (6.7 mph).
