If only it were real
rather than a movie set, TXAR at least have some civilized
attributes.
Left over from the filming of the CBS mini-series
"Streets of Laredo," a movie rendition of the town of
Presido was built within shouting distance of the center
of TXAR. The set converted portions of an abandoned motel
(in turn from an abandoned mining operation) into the essentials
of any western town.
It's not real either
Behind the beerhall is another set - the church complete with
a new cross on the hill.
A jail with doors that don't lock
The nice thing about a jail in a movie set is that it's
easy to leave.
